A little about me...
I am a mother of four who loves photography and I find sharing that love of photography rewarding.
My portraits are about capturing personalities and moments.
I prefer a relaxed approach that allows me to capture who the subject truly is - not just what he looks like.
Whether it's your beautiful growing belly, your baby's crooked toes or the way he scoots on his tush instead of crawling,
your toddler giving you the stink eye or dancing around in a tutu, your young one with his first black eye (it may be the first of
many),
or your teen who may or may not smile depending on the day.
I strive to capture images that, when you look at them over the years, will carry you back in time and make your heart warm
and a smile cross your face.

All sessions are on location. I find that on location sessions, whether at your home or some other location of your choice,
allow you to be more relaxed and feel less rushed as well as express more of your personality (which is what I want to
capture). Sometimes the location is a park area and other times it is a gritty part of downtown, or in your own living room. It
depends on you and your style. I am based in Blue Springs Missouri and work all over the Kansas City area.

I won't rush you. Sessions generally last 1-2 hours so you have plenty of time to relax, change outfits, and even change
locations. Extra time is alloted for babies since they have their own ideas about how schedules should work.

I am primarily a natural light (or ambiant light) photographer. Most images you will see on my site are taken with natural light
and are environmental (typically no studio backdrops).

Expert artistic enhancements, including complexion correction, are INCLUDED WITH EVERY IMAGE YOU ORDER. These
enhancements take an extensive amount of time and are one of the things that sets my work apart from other local talent. I
have developed my methods of enhancement over time and it is a part of my style. No need to worry if you wake up with a
pimple on the end of your nose or your little one has a bruise on his forehead. Roll your mouse over the below photos to get

If you are thinking of holiday portraits plan MUCH further ahead as I hate to have to turn people away but will have to if
you call mid November wanting portriats for your holiday cards.

I love to give back some of the gifts that God has blessed me with and have become involved with several charitable
organizations. Please see the "giving back" section to see a few. I plan to update that soon to include others as well. If
you are a member of a worthwhile organization and would like to be featured please let me know.

As you will see throughout the site, I work primarily with individuals and very small groups. Maternity, newborn, children,
teens / seniors, small family groups, and some individual adults (including the transformations sessions).

The pricing and policies link is currently down because with 2009 just days away I am making changes to the packages
and available products.
The new changes will include digital packaging that will allow you to have your high resolution image files for your
personal use. It seems digital is the way of the world right now ;o)

I will still be offering a-la-carte items and will be happy to help you get specialty items that you may not have acess to on
your own - even if they are not on my pricing list.
