About me.... I am a mother of four who loves photography and I find sharing that love of photography rewarding. My portraits are about capturing personalities and moments. I prefer a relaxed approach that allows me to capture who the subject truly is - not just what he looks like. Whether it's your beautiful growing belly, your baby's crooked toes or the way he scoots on his tush instead of crawling, your toddler giving you the stink eye or dancing around in a tutu, your young one with his first black eye (it may be the first of many), or your teen who may or may not smile depending on the day. I strive to capture images that, when you look at them over the years, will carry you back in time and make your heart warm and a smile cross your face. Why choose me ??? All sessions are on location. I find that on location sessions, whether at your home or some other location of your choice, allow you to be more relaxed and feel less rushed as well as express more of your personality (which is what I want to capture). Sometimes the location is a park area and other times it is a gritty part of downtown, or in your own living room. It depends on you and your style. I won't rush you. Sessions generally last 1-2 hours so you have plenty of time to relax, change outfits, and even change locations. Expert artistic enhancements, including complexion correction, are INCLUDED WITH EVERY IMAGE YOU ORDER. These enhancements take an extensive amount of time and are one of the things that sets my work apart from other local talent. I have developed my methods of enhancement over time and it is a part of my style. No need to worry if you wake up with a pimple on the end of your nose or your little one has a bruise on his forehead. This is not an easy adjustment as I very much like having controll over the finished product and as a professional I KNOW that NOT ALL PRINT LABS ARE CREATED EQUAL. But everything is going digital and the number one selling gift last Christmas was digital picture frames. So it is time to make this change. |
Proof galleries are posted within two weeks after your session and include 25-40 images with basic enhancements. Portraits are printed on the highest quality photographic paper in a professional lab. Prints 11x14 and larger are custom mounted for rigidity and durability. A full price list as well as important details such as what to wear will be covered in length in your pre-session information packet. Pricing and Policies are covered in detail here. I have three options,************************************************************************************************************************************** 1 includes a session fee and a-la-carte pricing with no minimum order,*********************************************************************** 2 is a "create your own collection" with no session fee and dramatically discounted prices, ********************************************* 3 is the digital package that includes a gallery wrap print and all of your proofed images as full resolution files.********************* Newborn Session: focuses on the connection between parents and baby. Pricing is the same as above BUT I do have a VERY SPECIAL DEAL for you if you schedule the newborn session to take place within the first two weeks of the baby's life. Newborn up to three months are typically indoor sessions. Also, in the case of newborns it is so important to capture these precious images as soon as possible. Often that is in the hospital or right after the trip home. Within the first two weeks is best. Because of that I want to come to you to make it easy and comfortable on your baby as well as yourself. Sessions generally last 1-2 hours but in the case of babies extra time is planned for. As a mother of four I understand the changing moods and frequent needs of babies. Maternity Session: This is all about the beauty of the life that is growing within you. This is best done 4 to 6 weeks before your baby's due date so that you will have the nice round belly but hopefully not be to the point of utter exhaustion (and well, that water weight that bloats us up tends to come on in that last month). Every woman should do this one - even if you don't feel beautiful you really are. I have a VERY SPECIAL DEAL for your maternity session if you call to schedule your newborn session within the first 6 months of your pregnancy. Otherwise it is priced as above as well. Baby's First Year: This package includes three sessions within the baby's first year taking place after the newborn session. Sessions are at 3 months, 6 months, and 12 - 13 months. Session fees are as above but at the end of the baby's first year you will recieve a 10x10 custom coffee table book chronicaling the baby's first year. Images from maternity and newborn sessions may be included as well. Engagement and Bridal: Engagement session focuses on the special connection between the loving couple and is priced as above.
