As my word of mouth is spreading and my work is becoming more in demand I am finding that I need more
than ever to place a premium on my time.

This also means that it is very important to be sure that your style and my style mesh. I have to do what I
love or I won't continue to love it and it will show.

My style is casual and free flowing. Sometimes set-up but not "posed". I like to talk with children (and
adults) and feel comfortable with eachother so that the image shows that comfort and relaxation.
I like unusual crops. I love color. If there is more than one subject in an image I love interaction between
them. I love details that show personality. I don't particularly care much about the "rules" of photography. I
have learned them and am happy to break them. I like to try different things and see if it works.

So, If you want a family picture posed with everyone looking straight at the camera and fake smiles
plastered on - I am not the gal for you. There are plenty of other wonderful photogaphers who love to do
that style of photography and are quite good at it. As a matter of fact I would be happy to give you referrals
if you need some.

Also, I have had several requests for large family groups recently. Basically, the same rules apply so if it is
a large nuclear family and you like to have fun together and and love my style by all means please call me.

I work on location with available light. The best times to schedule sessions are either early morning or late
afternoon or early evening (depends on time of year). I will come to your home or some other favorite
location. We can go to the fair if it's in town, or city market, or horseback riding, or just to a local park.
There are limitless options and they can all be a ton of fun.

Clothing:

SIMPLE is best but perfect is not mandatory - or even really desired. I want to capture the real you so wear
your blue jeans and your favorite t-shirt and those crazy bright colored shoes that everyone teases you
about! If it is a family portrait you clearly don't want to clash with eachother but you still should be dressed
in a way that is comfortable and real for you. If your kiddo is one who always has a crazy cowlick sticking up
- leave it up. Bring any fun props that you or your kids love, a favorite toy, a bright funky hat or scarf, beat
up skate board, old guitar, whatever strikes your fancy - we'll find a way to include it. It's all about capturing
the real you right now because that changes with time - especially with kids. And sometimes for some
people it doesn't change, ya know like how your grandpa always wears those old overalls - he probably had
some on in every snapshot of him as a kid! Can't you just see the "then and now" in your mind!

Session fees and retainers:

I have recently begun offering digital files in my packages which is unique in higher end custom portraiture
and a very valuable item. When our session is completed you will you will choose a print package that
includes a CD of your chosen image files. You will be free to print and enlarge (to wall portrait sizes) the
portraits at your convenience and will be referred to an excellent print lab with great prices. You can have
personalized products made and make copies of the disc for back-up security.

The fee for a photo session at this time is $125.
(Due at the time of our session.) A-la-carte prints and products are purchased seperatly.

A $100 retainer must be paid to hold your desired date and time.
This retainer will later be applied as a credit toward your print package.
It is non refundable but can be applied to a rescheduled session within 30 days (as available).
Sessions may be rescheduled due to illness or injury but not because there is a great sale that day at your
favorite store ;o) To apply the retainer to a reschedule I must be contacted no less than 24 hours in advance
of your scheduled time.
No-shows forefeit this retainer.
In the event of poor weather, outdoor sessions may reschedule or switch to an indoor location.

The session includes:

A session of up to two hours either at your home or at a location of our choosing. (Travel within 20 miles of
64014 included. Outside this area please contact me for pricing.)

A session may include any combination of one immediate or nuclear family.

Session gallery:

Once your session is complete I will hand pick 20-40 images for your gallery. These images are carefully
enhanced to bring out there best. This process may take from seven days to two weeks.
You will be notified by phone and/or email when your online slideshow gallery is available for viewing.
The gallery expires seven days from opening. There is a $50 fee to republish a gallery after expiration.
The entire gallery is available to republish for 60 days after the session date. After 60 days images ordered
or kept for portfolio use will be archived for one year. (Other images will be purged)
Because all prices are subject to change, prices at the time of ordering apply to all orders placed for archived
images. Prices at the time of the session are honored for 60 days.

Session fees do not include images in print or digital form. Prints and products must be purchased seperatly
and there are collections for your convenience.

Model release:

A model release must be signed for all subjects photographed. The release states consent without further
compensation for the images from the session to be used reproduced for the purposes of marketing,
advertising, promotions and competitions.

Payment and delivery:

Payment is due upon ordering via cash, check, or credit card (accepted online through paypal).
There is a $30 fee for returned checks.
Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery of prints. Rush orders may be possible upon request.
Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery of specialty items.

Copyright:

All images are the property of Staley Wessel and are protected under federal copyright laws.
Copying images without permission is punishable by law with fines of up to $150,000 per image.
It is against the law to copy, print, scan, email, download or otherwise reproduce these images in any way
without written permission.
Staley Wessel retains the right to all images for commercial and competative use.

All of the above items must be agreed to upon scheduling your portrait session.
